Today was open day with musical performances at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, coinciding with the European Opera Day. You could visit the main staircase, the Board rebuilt the Salo dels Miralls or Cercle del Liceu. In the latter was working one summer, so I have only seen it, but then had no camera to throw nice pictures. The rest of the Liceu was only able to see the Salo dels Miralls through the crack in the door that leads to the Cercle hehe. The rest of the theater is hard to see anything if you do not pay for an opera. As for the Cercle del Liceu is a members club attached in a very elegant building that makes you appear to be in a palace because of their decorations, but is somewhat dated now and your wood floor squeaks too. But it is a clear example of modernism, with an outstanding collection of works of art, that museums and would like have, especially the paintings by Ramon Casas.
